OK, if you know me then you know how my mind works sometimes. Can go off at the drop of..well anything really. So here is the latest.
Today someone told me God can not make evil. I have heard this many times and never thought twice of it..actually agreed with it. Today though the wheels started turning.
If God can not create evil, then where is it from?
He created everything. Right?
He created everything. Right?
He created the angels, to my knowledge without free-will. How then did the revolt in heaven begin?
How is one of God's creations the most vial and evil thing to exist, if indeed God can not create evil?
(I welcome your responses. Please no nasty replies. Lets keep this nice. Thanks)

I'm off to BS this morning so I will have to get back to you. Something to think about!
Have a wonderful day!
Love ya - Marcy
I have been thinking about this & I don't have an answer! I am going to ask DH (he is a much deeper thinker than I am!) & see what he thinks & I will get back to you!

DH & I talked about this last night & we both think that the angels have free will. We have always been taught that the enemy chose to revolt & took others with him. My DH said that if God created humans with a free will, why would he not create angels with one? I don't know of any Scripture about this but there could be one! Anyway, that's just our thoughts about it!
Let me know what you find out in your digging! It sure does make you think!
Have a good Thursday! Love ya - Marcy
think back to genesis... the snake, the apple, the warning... did god CREATE that, or was it already in the garden of eden?
i'm not much of a biblical scholar, but maybe it will help your train of thought to go back to the beginning as it was.
I will try this again. I wrote another comment and the page shut down. I love your way of thinking. I think it may have something to do with your teaching gift.I teach also and i love to go places others would rather not go. I have talked about this subject with my pastor. We go to a small church and it gives me a chance to pick his brain often.
All things were created by God---- this will certainly send your brain spinning if you let it. Sometimes the spin is good. The more you spin the deeper you go. I love deep.
Free will. Where did sin come from?
Did God know about sin and the potential for sin when he created the angels and us? The answer of course is , Yes. Then the angels had the choice to choose Him or not.The fact that they knew they could walk away is what is interesting to me.When did that first seed of sin take root in satans mind? Where did the seed come from? Could it have been like the verse that says,be angry but don't sin? If he had thought but then not acted on it, would we be where we are today? Something that i have thought about is what is going to keep more angels from falling later on? On that point , I have to tell myself that scripture does not lie and after the judgement satan will be locked away forever. No more free will? Just a thought.
